It is has been a mighty looooong time since I have written on here! I am still a crazy busy Mom of four and trying my best to raise dependent, caring, respectful, helpful, successful, loving, motivated, and decently dressed (heehee ;) ) adults! So can you guess what is on my mind today and my challenge??
Yes I am very conservative in many ways and one big one being in how a person dresses, ESPECIALLY our young teen daughters. I am so saddened and angry how parents and society accept such.....lets just go right there...slutty dressing. What happened to respect for ourselves, our bodies, our image, our presentation to others, etc? It is so frustrating when in school, society, the fashion industry, and parents all accept such choices. Parents stop saying it is okay and "Well everyone else does it and that is the fashion now." Stop thinking your say, beliefs, boundaries, and MORALS don't matter! They do and we help carve their paths and future so take it seriously my friends! I don't know but I find it always a up hill battle trying to teach all this when you can hardly by a shirt that has all the material it should have!! Then you buy something for your daughter and it is so thin that you have to worry what she wears under it because gosh seeing bras and undergarments is again just not okay in my book. Am I alone here Moms?? Can I hear a AMEN and you go girl for trying at least? I guess we just keep trying to instill our beliefs and morals no matter what they are and hope and pray that just some of it sinks in.
Thanks for listening to me rant my friends! :) Here is to a healthy, happy, and COVERED UP 2015! :)

So it has been FOREVER since I have written a post on my blog! :) Life just seems to happen and move along quickly. I continue to be a very busy Mom of four with a house full of teenagers these days! ;) One in college, one a senior, and two middle school kids. So new seasons and new adventures happening for our family daily that is for sure! :)
Today I read my daily inspiration quote from (in)courage and it read as follows~
Being very intentional about my choices in life frees me to be who God created me to be.♥
This really caught my heart and got my thoughts just thinking about how we all have choices in all we do with our relationships, words spoken to others, jobs, lives, goals, dreams, etc. Right now, and for the last 18 years, my job is being a mom and wife. I LOVE and ADORE my husband, kids, and job. I do find it though to be the most challenging thing I have ever done! Lately I have really been trying to take time for myself more, meditate, focus on what goes into my heart and mind as far as how I choose to spend my time, what I read, etc. I am trying to work on myself and be "...intentional about my choices..." and my reactions. This is tough and this is hard. As a Mom I need to be intentional about my choices and words to my husband and kids. That is what God created me to do and be but I am broken as we all are with a story and far from perfect but the desire to keep on going, stop and breathe, and do better.♥ This is hard to remember for myself, my husband, and my kids. To realize that we all are broken people that are forgiven for our sins and mistakes and can do better and be very intentional NEXT time and EACH DAY to always do better.♥

Simple Things!
Just sitting here thinking how I miss the days when my kids would come running up to me yelling "Mom I have something for you! Aren't they pretty!" :) Then they would hand me the brightest most beautiful boutique of...dandelions! :) :) :) Oh how I miss those days when they were young, innocent, and things were oh so simple.

I Find Hope In These...
Psalm 46:1- God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
James 1:2-3- 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
Philippians 4:6-7- Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I Needed To Hear This Today
"What you are weeping about, Jesus is weeping with you. Where you are discouraged, He understands. Where you are just dog-tired, He gets it! Jesus understands our wide range of emotions and experiences."
